Mehmedovic, Tritton and Will qualify for Olympics

Montreal, May 11, 2008 (Sportcom) – The Canadian Olympic team in judo is now set with :

Marylise Lévesque (78 kilos)
Frazer Will (60 kilos)
Sasha Mehmedovic (66 kilos)
Nicholas Tritton (73 kilos)
Keith Morgan ( 100 kilos)

Judo Canada is still awaiting a decision from the international federation whether Marie-Hélène Chisholm will receive a wildcard selection. Injuries have prevented Chisholm from competing in important Olympic qualifying events. She was fifth at the 2004 Olympics.

Montreal, May 9, 2008 (Sportcom) – Frazer Will of Star City, Sask., Sasha Mehmedovic of North York and Nicholas Tritton of Perth, Ont., qualified for the Olympic Games on Friday at the Pan American judo Championships in Miami.

Montreal, May 8, 2008 (Sportcom) – Keith Morgan of Calgary and Marylise Lévesque of La Pocatière, Que., assured themselves a spot on the Canadian team for the Beijing Games on Thursday in Miami at the Pan American judo championships which is also an Olympic qualifying event.
